???? What These Bodies Actually Do
These SASO-approved inspection bodies are entrusted with independent conformity assessment activities, including:
✔ Product testing and sampling.
✔ Factory inspections and quality audits.
✔ Verification against Saudi Technical Regulations.
✔ Issuance of Product and Shipment Certificates of Conformity (CoC) via the SABER platform — required for customs release.
Without a valid SASO CoC from one of these approved bodies, regulated goods cannot be legally imported or marketed in Saudi Arabia and may be blocked or rejected at customs.
