Best ARC Raiders Mine Trial Tips for Easy High Scores U4N
In ARC Raiders Items, the “Jump Mine” mentioned in some weekly Trials is not actually a separate item or a hidden blueprint. It refers to the regular Explosive Mine, but the different names used in Trials and the character equipment menu have caused some confusion among players. Once you understand this naming issue, the weekly challenge becomes much easier to approach.
Understand the Jump Mine Trial
The challenge commonly asks players to damage ARC machines with a Jump Mine. It has become a popular Trial for players working toward higher Cantina Legend or Hotshot scores. The key scoring rule is simple: every point of damage dealt to an ARC through the mine is converted into five Trial points.
That makes damage placement much more important than simply throwing mines at a target. An ARC's armor absorbs much of the impact, so placing a mine directly against protected armor produces poor results. Instead, the goal is to expose a vulnerable section first and then use the mine against that weak point.
Focus on Armor Breaks
The biggest improvement comes from learning when to place the mine. Heavy ARC machines have protected areas that can greatly reduce the damage from an explosion. Shooting at their armor until a joint or another vulnerable section becomes exposed gives the mine a much better target.
For larger enemies, breaking a leg joint can be especially useful. Once the machine is knocked down or disabled, there is a short window to move in and position the mine directly against the exposed section. This approach turns a basic explosive into a much more effective scoring tool.
Try the Water Treatment Method
Players looking for a safer three-star route can use the Water Treatment strategy. This method avoids fighting some of the more dangerous large ARC machines across the main map.
Bring one Explosive Mine and three Snitch Scanners. A Lure Grenade can also be useful, although it is optional. At Water Treatment, look for the narrow metal platform or walkway connecting the upper area with three entrance gates.
Place the mine in the center of this narrow section. Then throw the three Snitch Scanners onto the mine or directly above it. When a WASP or HORNET appears, the limited space can cause the ARC to become stuck around the platform. This gives the mine a chance to deal its full explosion damage instead of letting the drone escape.
With the right setup, one successful explosion can produce roughly 4,000 to 5,000 or more Trial points, making this a straightforward way to reach three stars without taking on the biggest ARC enemies.
Chase Bigger Scores With Heavy ARCs
For players interested in leaderboard-level results, the safer Water Treatment method is not the only option. Shredder, Bombardier, and Bastion can produce much higher scores when their vulnerable areas are exposed correctly. High-end runs can reach around 18,000 to 26,000 or more points.
This strategy requires more preparation and carries considerably more risk. Bring enough mines for the encounter and consider using the Cautious Augment to increase your carrying capacity while improving your chances of staying alive around the Hatch area.
Use Cover Before Placing Mines
The safest way to approach a large ARC is to control where the fight happens. Use cover, terrain, or a Lure Grenade to draw a Bastion or Bombardier toward a position where you can attack without being exposed for too long.
Heavy weapons should then be used to concentrate damage on a leg joint. The objective is not simply to destroy the machine as quickly as possible. You want to create a moment when the ARC is down and its vulnerable section is exposed.
Choose Four or Five Mines
Experienced players often use four mines per large ARC when they are looking for maximum scoring efficiency. This requires accurate placement and good timing, since wasting a mine can reduce the value of the entire attempt.
For newer players, five mines are a more forgiving choice. The extra mine provides some room for mistakes and can make it easier to finish the target while still earning a strong score. The most important part is still placement: mines should hit exposed weak points rather than protected armor.
Make Every Explosion Count
The Jump Mine Trial is less about blindly throwing explosives and more about creating the right situation for maximum damage. For a reliable three-star run, the Water Treatment setup offers a relatively controlled way to farm points. For much higher scores, learning how to disable Shredder, Bombardier, or Bastion and place several mines on their exposed weak points is the better route.
With careful positioning, armor breaks, and the right number of explosives, ARC Raiders Materials can support a more efficient preparation strategy while you focus on completing the Trial and pushing your score higher.
