Anyone else sitting on case reports they never finish writing?
I've got at least three interesting cases from the last two years that I keep meaning to write up and submit, and they just sit in my notes folder. Between clinic hours and admin work, I never find the block of time it actually takes to do it properly.
I ended up looking into a case report writing service for doctors after a colleague mentioned she used one for a paper she published earlier this year. Honestly it made sense once I thought about it. You still provide the clinical details and findings, they just help structure it, cite it correctly, and format it for the journal you're targeting. Saved her a good chunk of time and the paper got accepted on the second submission.
Curious if others have tried something similar, or if you just power through the writing yourselves. I feel like I'm not the only one with a backlog of cases that deserve to be published.
