U4gm Hero Siege Ignore Resistance Build After September Fix

Season 10's September 2 fix makes Ignore Resistance worth reassessing before your next equipment upgrade. Whether you are spending Hero Siege Gold on a replacement item or adjusting existing gear, the priority is understanding which offensive investment improves your actual farming results.

Why the Correction Changes Build Decisions

The patch corrected an Ignore Resistance calculation that had made the stat much weaker than intended. Affected builds can now deal substantially more damage without changing equipment, making older comparisons between penetration and other offensive attributes less useful.

That does not mean every character needs more Ignore Resistance. It means the assumptions behind previous gearing decisions deserve another look. A setup that compensated for weak penetration with additional damage may now have different priorities, especially against enemies whose resistance previously slowed kills.

Identify Where Your Damage Meets Resistance

The strongest candidates are characters whose main damage output faces meaningful enemy resistance. Element-focused builds are an obvious place to investigate, but the important question is whether Ignore Resistance applies to the damage responsible for most of your kills.

A mixed-damage character needs closer inspection. Improving one resisted component may produce only a modest overall gain if another component does most of the work. Judge the stat against your primary skill and usual targets rather than assuming every damage source benefits equally.

Check Whether Your Investment Still Fits

Being under-invested means an accessible penetration upgrade improves practical damage more than the alternatives you would surrender. Being over-invested means another offensive stat would provide a better return in the same equipment slot. Neither condition can be identified from a large character-sheet number alone.

Compare similar items while keeping your skill setup, difficulty, and target consistent. Repeat encounters to reduce the influence of critical hits and other variation. Test both ordinary packs and resistant targets: a faster boss kill may matter little if your farming route is dominated by enemies already defeated immediately.

Compare Penetration With the Whole Offensive Package

Enemy resistance changes how much of your damage reaches the target. Additional raw damage can look impressive while delivering a smaller practical improvement against resistant enemies. Penetration addresses that obstacle, but its value still depends on the resistance encountered and the calculation's applicable limits.

Compare it with skill damage, critical chance, critical damage, and attack or cast speed where relevant. Do not assume a universal diminishing-return curve; instead, watch for shrinking practical gains in your tests. Speed may improve clear times, while stronger individual hits may better serve difficult encounters.

The September correction calls for testing, not automatic stacking. Keep upgrades tied to measurable improvements in the content you actually run. If you choose to buy Hero Siege Gold, decide which equipment change your build needs before committing resources to a larger penetration total.
